THE CREATIVE WRITING  AND SELF-PUBLISHING TESTER WAS A HIT

I wasn't expecting much to happen when I walked through the library doors of Coombes Croft last  Saturday which was the 28th October 2023. I had some concerns since I knew the event wasn't promoted properly. I was not aware of much happening and I didn't see people ask or sign up for the event when I went to the library in the last few days. So, I was secretly praying for a miracle to happen  as I set up to begin this new showcase there.

Anyway, on that faithful day a woman came into the library and asked about the event and then wandered off to do her own business. As the clock ticked and as the time drew near to unveil this new product a few people walked in and took seats. They were middle aged men. And they were obviously interested in the event otherwise they wouldn't be here. When I had allowed that thought to sink in I believed that was my cue to start the show. And I did by introducing myself and what I was going to do. I simply had two hours to convince these people in the room that they could achieve the almost impossible if they were given the right tools to write their book and self- publish their own work. The event started at 1pm and ended at 3pm that day.

All in all the session not only achieved a satisfactory outcome. It was marginally considered a successful hit by certain standards. That's because the participants thought my presentation was well-prepared and well presented.  They also thought it was engaging, enlightening and exciting. The same participants also thought I should do the pilot programme again before doing it at another notable library in the borough of Haringey.

There's been some good news since then. I've just been given the go ahead by the Coombes Croft library manager to do this again. So I guess its time business picked up. This time with a proper promotion in the works. I won't take my eye off the ball this time. Remember, the aim is to get new clients for my Mechanics of  Adventure Writing mentorship programme. It sounds funny to say this. But I guess there's some truth to it. Halloween has come and gone. And I'll be damned if I don't make a positive stride with my new found resource at Coombes Croft Library.  So no more fun and games. Its time to repackage this product and get results. And, that reminds me of something.  Mac Logan the Expendable P.I and the protagonist of my SNAKE AMONGST SHADOWS book series  will soon RETURN for more mystery, action and adventure. I guess the ungodly had better watch out.

STAY SAFE!
